Oneplus Ace 3 Pro arrives with Oneplus 12 looks but a big 6,101 mAh battery

One of two new smartphones that OnePlus unveiled today, the Ace 3 Pro teams with the Pad Pro. Although it has a remarkable 13% higher battery capacity, the Ace 3 Pro undercuts its premium sibling on price even if it looks like the OnePlus 12 and features a matching Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU.

Along with their Pad Pro tablet and updated Watch 2 smartwatch, OnePlus has also unveiled a new Ace Pro smartphone in China. For reference, the Ace 3 Pro debuted following some weeks of teasing and leaks. Though the Ace 3 Pro was supposed to include OnePlus's new Rain Touch 2.0 capability, we cannot discover any reference of it in its marketing materials.

Still, has certified the Ace 3 Pro to IP65 levels of dust and water resistance, same like the OnePlus 12 (curr. $799.99 on Amazon). Neither do the parallels between the Ace 3 Pro and OnePlus 12 stop there. Both include 24 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 flash storage, and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, for instance. Furthermore, included with the Ace 3 Pro is a 4,500-nit AMOLED display. Still, its panel is 0.4-inches smaller than the equivalent inside the OnePlus 12 at 6.78-inches.

In addition, the Ace 3 Pro's display produces a 450 PPI by showing at a smaller 2,780 x 1,260-pixel resolution. Still, the panel works with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ video and offers varying refresh rates up to 120 Hz. Moreover, 13% bigger than the 5,400 mAH total capacity inside the OnePlus 12, OnePlus has fitted the Ace 3 Pro with a 6,101 mAh battery.

Additionally supported by the Ace 3 Pro is 100 W wired charging, which should produce 36-minute charge periods ranging from 0-100%. Regarding camera hardware, OnePlus has saved a few bucks using a 1/1.56-inch and 50 MP primary camera, plus 16 MP front-facing, 8 MP ultra-wide-angle and 2 MP macro sensors. Starting at CNY 3,199 (~$440) in China with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, the Ace 3 Pro goes to CNY 4,399 (~$605) for its 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage variation. Please be advised that OnePlus has not yet expressed comments on global availability.
